Worth repairing instead?

If your MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3) is only let down by a screen or a battery, repairing it is often worth more than selling it as-is. We will tell you honestly which way leaves you better off.

Same day, every time
Timing

The sweet spot in 2026.

This is the age where most MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3) handsets come through the door, and where the battery usually decides the grade. If yours is holding a full day it will grade well. If it is not, ask about a battery before you sell, because a device that lasts a day is worth more to us than the cell costs to fit.

Asked all the time

Selling MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3) questions.

We price every MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3) on the day, against condition, storage and what the market is paying that week. Pick the grade above for our figure, and we confirm it when we see the device. Credit is always worth more than cash.

Yes. A cracked MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3) drops a grade rather than losing the sale, because we fit the screen ourselves. Bring it in as it is and we will price it honestly.

Yes. Sign out of iCloud and turn off Find My before you come in. On Apple silicon and T2 Macs an Activation Lock cannot be cleared by anyone without the original Apple ID.

Sign out of iCloud, iMessage and the App Store, then erase and reinstall. On Apple silicon and T2 machines, Activation Lock applies the same way it does on a phone, so a Mac still signed in is not sellable.

More than it does on a phone. Storage cannot be upgraded afterwards on a modern Mac, so a 256GB and a 1TB machine of the same year are genuinely different products and priced that way.

The same visit. We check the device in front of you, agree the grade, and pay before you leave. There is no waiting for a transfer or a postal cheque.

Usually, at the working grade, as long as it powers on and the touch still responds. It is also worth asking what the repair costs first, because a repaired device is often worth more than the difference.

It is worth more, always. Credit can go on a repair, an accessory or another device, so if you were going to spend it here anyway it is simply a bigger number. Cash is there for when you were not.
