Questions, answered properly.

The things people ask across the counter, written out rather than summarised. If yours is not here, ring the workshop and ask the person who would do the repair.

Before you spend anything.

The diagnostic is free and it has no obligation attached. That means the device is opened and looked at, not glanced at across a counter, and you get a firm price before any work starts.

If we cannot repair it, there is nothing to pay. No diagnostic fee, no handling charge. That is the whole of the no fix, no fee arrangement and there is no small print under it.

If the repair is not worth doing, we say so. The rule of thumb is that a repair costing more than half of a comparable replacement is usually not worth it, and we would rather tell you that than take the money.

Time, and what same day means.

Most phone screens and batteries take 15 to 45 minutes and can be done while you wait. That is the common case, not a best case.

Tablets take longer, because the glass is bonded to the frame and has to come off cleanly, and a previous repair usually makes that slower again. Laptops depend on the part and whether it has to be ordered.

Board-level work runs two to five working days, because the fault has to be found before it can be repaired. Whatever the job, you get an estimate before you leave the device rather than a phone call afterwards.

Parts, and which one goes in.

Genuine or OEM-equivalent parts where they exist, premium aftermarket where they do not, and we name which one before the device is opened.

That distinction is worth understanding. A cheap aftermarket screen is dimmer, often loses touch sensitivity at the edges within months, and on an iPhone it can cost you True Tone. It is a real option at a real saving and some people want it; it is not the same product and we do not pretend it is.

Every completed repair carries 360 days of warranty on the part and the workmanship, whichever tier you choose.

Your data, and what we do not do.

Repairs are hardware only. We do not read, copy or move anything on a device, and where a repair genuinely requires the device to be unlocked, we ask rather than assume.

There is no field anywhere in our system for a device passcode, deliberately. A bench sometimes needs one to test a repair; it belongs on the paper docket that gets shredded, not in a database that is backed up forever.

Back up before any repair if you can. Not because we expect to lose anything, but because a device that is already faulty can fail further while it is being worked on, and a backup costs nothing.

It depends on the model, and every price on this site is a real one rather than a starting figure. Look up your model for the exact number, which includes the part, the fitting, the testing and the warranty.

Yes. Face ID hardware sits in the sensor assembly above the screen and is transferred to the new one. It stops working when that assembly is damaged or when a previous repair transferred it badly.

Any phone that has been opened has had its factory seal broken. We reseal on reassembly, but no repair shop can restore a manufacturer's IP rating and anyone claiming otherwise is guessing.

Yes, wherever it came from and whoever repaired it last. A previous bad repair is a common reason people end up here.

It is covered for 360 days on parts and workmanship. If the same fault returns and it was not caused by new damage, we repair it again at no charge.

Often. That is board-level work and it is the most common reason people ask for it. The diagnostic is free and we will tell you honestly what we think the odds are.

Yes, working or not. Devices are graded in front of you and paid in cash or credit, with credit worth more because it comes back to us.
