This guide explains what you should actually expect to pay, why quotes vary so much, and how to make sure you only pay once.
What does an iPhone screen repair cost in Dublin?
At iMEND, iPhone screen replacements run from €59 for older models up to €199 for the latest Pro models. As a rough guide:

Why do quotes vary so much between shops?
Three things drive the price of a screen repair, and they explain almost every difference you'll see between Dublin shops:
- Part quality. A screen can be a genuine Apple part, a high-grade OEM-equivalent panel, or a cheap aftermarket copy. The copies are €20 to €40 cheaper, and it shows: washed-out colour, poor brightness, dead zones on touch, and no True Tone.
- What's included. Some quotes exclude labour, the diagnostic, or any warranty. Ours include all three.
- Skill and testing. A screen swap on a modern iPhone involves fragile connectors, waterproof adhesive and, done properly, a full test of touch, Face ID, sensors and cameras before the phone is handed back.
OLED, LCD and True Tone: the short version
Newer iPhones use OLED panels, which cost more than the LCD panels in older models; that is why an iPhone 15 screen costs more than an iPhone 8 screen. True Tone is the feature that matches the display to the room's lighting, and it is lost during a careless repair. Is it worth repairing, or should you claim on insurance?
Most phone insurance carries an excess of €75 to €150 and a claim can take a week or more. If your screen repair costs less than your excess, which it usually does, repairing directly is faster and cheaper. A walk-in screen repair at our bench typically takes 15 to 45 minutes.
How to avoid paying twice
- Ask what grade of part is being fitted, and whether True Tone will still work.
- Ask whether the price includes labour and a warranty, and how long the warranty is.
- Ask whether the phone is tested before handback: touch, Face ID, cameras, speakers.
A shop with good answers to those three questions will fix your phone properly. If the answers are vague, the €20 you save today tends to come back as a €90 problem next month.
