Which device do you have?

Getting the model right is the single most common cause of a delayed repair, because the wrong generation means the wrong part. It takes about twenty seconds to check.

Model finder

Search by name or model number.

Type what it says on the back of your device, in Settings, or just the name you know it by. A2337, SM-S928B and "the big iPhone from 2023" all work.

Where to look

Where to look on your device.

iPhone

Settings, then General, then About. The Model Name line gives you the answer directly. The Model Number line starting with A is the one we use to order the exact part.

Samsung and Android

Settings, then About phone. Look for Model number, which starts with SM for Samsung. It is also printed in tiny text on the back of many handsets.

iPad

Settings, then General, then About. If the screen is broken, the A number is engraved on the back of the iPad near the bottom.

MacBook

Apple menu, then About This Mac. If it will not power on, the A number is printed in small text along the underside of the case.
