Yes, because dead rarely means dead. The usual causes are a failed battery, a charging port that stopped delivering power, or a board fault after a drop or a spill, and the first two are routine repairs. The diagnostic is free, so finding out costs you nothing.
Whether it draws any current at all, which tells us straight away if this is a battery and port problem or a board problem. From there we work through power rails on the bench. You get a plain answer and a price before anything is replaced.
Usually yes, and that is a separate job to reviving the device. Even where a board is beyond economic repair we can often recover what is on the storage.
That depends on what the device is worth and what the repair costs, and we will tell you honestly when the sums do not work. Turning away a job we could have charged for is the reason people come back.
For most screen and battery work, 15 to 45 minutes, and people wait in the shop. Anything that has to come apart further, or that we want to run for a while before handing back, we tell you the day rather than guess at an hour.
For common faults on common models, yes, and the price is on the page you are reading. For anything with no clear symptom, liquid damage especially, nobody can price it honestly without opening it, so we do that for free first.
