Complaints

If something is not right.

Most of what goes wrong is fixable and most of it is fixable quickly. Here is exactly how to raise it, what we will do, and where to go if you are still not satisfied when we are finished.

How to raise it, three ways.

Call 085 200 1155, email mobile@imend.ie, or walk in to 4 Richmond Road, Drumcondra during opening hours. All three reach the same people and none is treated as more serious than the others.

Tell us the repair reference if you have it, and what the device is doing now. If you do not have the reference, your phone number finds the job.

You do not need to have bought anything from us to complain about something we did. If we quoted you badly, or somebody here was short with you on the phone, that is worth telling us too.

  • Phone: 085 200 1155
  • Email: mobile@imend.ie
  • In person: 4 Richmond Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 3
  • WhatsApp: 085 200 1155, if writing is easier than talking
  • Useful to include: the repair reference, the device, and what it is doing now

What happens after that.

We acknowledge it the same working day. That acknowledgement is confirmation that a person has it and knows who is dealing with it, rather than the answer itself.

We aim to give you a full answer within five working days. Where the answer needs the device back on the bench, we say so and give you a date rather than leaving it open.

If we got it wrong, we say so and put it right at our cost. If we do not think we got it wrong, we tell you that plainly and explain why, because a complaint answered with a vague apology and no position is not an answer.

What the warranty already covers.

Every completed repair carries 360 days on the part we fitted and on the workmanship. If the same fault comes back inside that, bring it in and we put it right. There is no form and no argument about it.

What it does not cover is new accidental damage, liquid damage, or a different fault that happens to appear afterwards. Those are not the same thing as a repair that failed, and we will show you the difference on the device rather than asserting it.

The warranty sits alongside your statutory rights rather than replacing them. Nothing on this page reduces what you are entitled to under Irish consumer law.

Your rights, independently of us.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022, a service you buy in Ireland must be provided with reasonable care and skill. That is a statutory right and it applies whatever any shop writes on a docket or a website.

For free, independent advice on where you stand, the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission publishes consumer guidance and runs a helpline. They are not connected to us and they will tell you straight.

If we cannot resolve it between us, the District Court's Small Claims Procedure is the route for a consumer claim of this size. It is designed to be used without a solicitor. We would much rather sort it at the counter, but you are entitled to know the option exists and we are not going to leave it off the page.

Asked all the time

Asked all the time.

Bring it in. If it is inside 360 days and it is the repair we did, we put it right at our cost. There is no form to fill in.

Then it is a new repair, and we will show you the difference on the device rather than just telling you. If we are wrong about that, say so, and we will look again.

You have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 that we cannot sign away. The CCPC gives free independent advice, and the District Court's Small Claims Procedure exists for consumer claims of this size and is designed to be used without a solicitor.

Yes. If a quote was wrong, or somebody here was short with you, that is worth hearing and it goes through the same route.
