Walk in
- 4 Richmond Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 3
- No appointment needed during opening hours
- Same-day service on most phones, depending on device health
Marino is the same postcode as us and about a mile east, so Richmond Road is the nearest independent bench for most of Philipsburgh Avenue, Marino Mart and the Griffith Avenue end.
Mon to Sat 10 to 6
Along Griffith Avenue and down through Fairview, or straight across on the 123. Ten minutes in a car, twenty-five on foot.
We are open Monday to Friday ten to six and Saturday ten to five, closed Sunday. There is no booking system: walk in and we will look at it.
Marino is settled, and settled neighbourhoods keep their devices longer. The work that comes from here skews towards making something last another year rather than replacing it: batteries in phones that are perfectly good otherwise, screens on handsets two or three generations old, tablets that live in a kitchen and get used every day by somebody who has no interest in a new one.
That is repair work at its most straightforward and it is the kind we would rather do. A battery in a four-year-old phone costs a fraction of replacing it and buys two or three more years, and where that arithmetic does not work we say so.
Being in Dublin 3 with us also means the collection service makes little sense from Marino: it is quicker to walk in. What does come up from here is people who cannot easily get out during the week, and Saturday from ten to five exists largely for them.
The other Marino regular is the inherited device. A phone that belonged to a parent, a tablet that came from a grandchild who upgraded, a laptop that has been in a press since 2019. Those often need nothing more than a battery and somebody to set them up, and finding out costs nothing.
Most of our Marino customers come from Griffith Avenue, Marino Mart, Philipsburgh Avenue, Malahide Road and Fairview Strand, and navigate by the Casino at Marino, Marino Institute, Fairview Park and Croke Park at the far end.
Saturday ten to five suits Marino better than most, and no appointment is needed on the day.

No. Walk in any time we are open: Monday to Friday ten to six, Saturday ten to five, closed Sunday. Most phone screen and battery repairs are done in 15 to 45 minutes while you wait.
We collect anywhere in Dublin, Monday to Friday, and it is free to arrange. From Marino it is usually quicker to walk in, but the option is there if you cannot get out during the week.
Nothing, whether you go ahead with the repair or not. If we cannot fix it you pay nothing at all, including the handling.
That is your call and we would rather be straight about it: for a common screen or battery it is a short trip and the repair is done while you wait. For anything unusual, ring first on 085 200 1155 and we will tell you whether it is worth the journey.
Free diagnostic, a firm price before any work, and a 360-day warranty on every completed repair.
