Galaxy S24 FE, from 2024, with a 6.7 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and the Exynos 2400e chip. It charges over USB-C and it unlocks with an optical fingerprint reader under the display. There is an aluminium frame, and it is rated IP68. A big flat screen with three vertical cameras and thicker bezels than the S24. The FE is the value model in the range and its parts are its own. A manufacturer's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed device under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.
If your phone lives near water, say so when you book and we will talk you through what the adhesive does and does not cover.
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.

There is nothing to gain by waiting. The glass and the display are bonded together on an OLED panel, so a crack sitting on the surface today is sitting on the display layer as it spreads. The repair does not get cheaper and the phone gets less usable.
Bring it in for the free diagnostic rather than booking a screen. A black display on a phone that still rings is usually the screen or its connector. A black display on a phone that is completely dead is a different problem, and we would rather find that out before you pay for a panel.
Several manufacturers pair the panel to the board, so a replacement can show a notice in settings even when the repair is sound and everything works. It is a parts message, not a fault, and we tell you if your model does it before we start.
On a handful of older models, yes, where the glass and the display are separate layers. On everything current they are bonded, and splitting them is a gamble with your display that we are not willing to take with somebody else's phone.
No, and that is the reason we ask which model you have before quoting. Panels differ by size, by technology and by how the biometric sensor is mounted, and a screen from the closest-looking sibling will not fit.
