Galaxy Z Flip 5, from 2023, with a 6.7 inch inner, 3.4 inch cover Dynamic AMOLED 2X, both screens display and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chip. - Glass lifting or pieces coming awayOnce the panel is loose it stops sealing, and it starts cutting fingers. Worth doing before it spreads.
- Cracked camera surroundThe raised glass over the lenses is separate from the panel on most models. Breaking it puts fragments right in front of the camera.
- Pieces missing around the camera housingThe most common place for the back to fail, because the camera stands proud and lands first.
- The back is cracked and the phone will not sit flatCheck the battery. A swelling cell pushes from inside and it is a different and more urgent job.

What parts do we fit?
Two tiers, and you choose knowing which is which: a genuine Samsung service part where one is made for this component, or premium aftermarket where none is. The warranty is 360 days on either.

Will my data be safe?
Nothing about this repair requires reading what is on the device, and nobody here does.
Testing is a different matter. To prove a repair works we have to turn the device on and use it, which sometimes means asking for your passcode. Say no if you prefer and we will show you exactly which checks we cannot complete without it. Where you do give it, it is written on the paper docket and the docket is shredded. There is deliberately no field for a passcode in our system.
Take a backup before you come in. It is free, it takes two minutes on a device that still works, and it is the one thing nobody regrets having done.
Will it still survive a splash?
Treat the device as no longer water resistant after any repair, including this one.
An IP rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed device in a laboratory. It is a description of how that device left the factory, not a property it keeps. Heat, age and everyday knocks degrade the seal long before anybody opens it, which is why phones that have never been repaired still let water in.
Opening a device means cutting through adhesive. We refit with fresh adhesive, which gives you back a physical seal that keeps rain and splashes out. What we will not do is claim the original rating is restored, because there is no way for us or for any independent shop in Ireland to test that.
If the device lives near water, tell us when you book. It changes what we recommend and it is a two minute conversation rather than a surprise afterwards.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

On some models the rear glass is bonded into the housing and the whole device has to come apart to change it. On others it lifts off on its own and the job is far quicker. It is worth asking for your exact model, because the difference is large.
On several phones the back glass is bonded to the frame and has to be taken out in pieces with heat, and on some it is separated with a laser. The part is cheap; the removal is the job.
