The iPhone 14 arrived in 2022, with a 6.1 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and the A15 Bionic chip. Charging is over Lightning and it unlocks with Face ID. It is rated IP68. A notch rather than a Dynamic Island, two cameras set diagonally, and an aluminium frame. Externally it is very close to the iPhone 13, which is why the model number matters here. Liquid damage is the one repair where what you do in the first hour matters more than what we do afterwards.
IfIt is wet right now
Turn it off and leave it off. Do not charge it, do not press the buttons, and do not put it in rice. Rice does nothing but hold moisture against the phone. Bring it in as soon as you can.
IfIt went in salt water or anything sugary
Treat it as urgent. Salt and sugar are far more aggressive than clean water and the window before permanent damage is much shorter.

Still assess the whole phone. One symptom after a soaking rarely means only one thing is affected.

Will my data be safe?
This is hardware work. We do not need to go into your photos, messages or accounts to do it, and we do not.
We do need to switch the device on and use it to test the repair, so we may ask for your passcode. If you would rather not hand it over, tell us and we will show you what we cannot verify without it. Any passcode you give us goes on the paper docket and the docket gets shredded. It is never stored in our system.
Back the device up before any repair. Not because we expect to lose anything, but because a device that has already been dropped is one whose storage has already been shaken, and a backup costs nothing.
Is it still water resistant afterwards?
After any repair, ours included, work on the assumption that the device is no longer water resistant.
The rating on the box was measured once, on a sealed unit, in controlled conditions. It was never a promise about the device three years later. Adhesive hardens, seals compress and a single drop can break the seal without leaving a mark you would notice.
We reseal with fresh adhesive and it does a real job: rain, splashes and a wet counter are all fine. A submerged phone is not, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out.
If yours goes near water regularly, say so at the counter and we will tell you what the adhesive covers and what it does not.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
