The iPhone 7 came out in 2016, with a 4.7 inch Retina HD LCD display and the A10 Fusion chip. It charges over Lightning and it unlocks with Touch ID in the home button. There is an aluminium frame, and it is rated IP67. The first water resistant iPhone and the first without a headphone socket. Aluminium back, one camera, and a home button that does not actually move. Ireland gets the A1778.

Before you spend anything
Is it definitely the liquid?
Liquid damage is the one repair where what you do in the first hour matters more than what we do afterwards.
IfIt went in salt water or anything sugary
Treat it as urgent. Salt and sugar are far more aggressive than clean water and the window before permanent damage is much shorter.
IfOnly one thing is wrong, like the speaker
Still assess the whole phone. One symptom after a soaking rarely means only one thing is affected.

Say so first. If data matters more than the handset we work in a different order, and starting the wrong way round can cost you both.
IfIt is wet right now
Turn it off and leave it off. No charging, no button pressing, and no rice. Rice does not draw moisture out of a sealed device, it just holds the phone somewhere humid while corrosion carries on.
IfOnly one thing is wrong, like the speaker
Have the whole device assessed anyway. One symptom after a soaking rarely means only one thing is affected.

What parts do we fit?
Two tiers, and you choose knowing which is which: a genuine Apple service part where one is made for this component, or premium aftermarket where none is. The warranty is 360 days on either.
We will not describe a part as genuine, original or Apple certified unless that is what is going into your phone. If the honest answer is premium aftermarket, that is what we say at the counter.

Will my data be safe?
We are replacing a part, not reading a phone. Your photos, messages and accounts are not something this job touches.
The one place it comes up is testing. A repair is not finished until it has been used, and using a locked device means a passcode. You are welcome to withhold it, and we will tell you which checks that leaves undone rather than quietly skipping them. A passcode you do give us lives on a paper docket that gets shredded, never in a database.
Back it up first if you can. A device that has taken a knock has had its storage shaken whether or not anything looks wrong, and a backup is free insurance against the day that matters.
What about the water resistance?
After any repair, ours included, work on the assumption that the device is no longer water resistant.
The rating on the box was measured once, on a sealed unit, in controlled conditions. It was never a promise about the device three years later. Adhesive hardens, seals compress and a single drop can break the seal without leaving a mark you would notice.
We reseal with fresh adhesive and it does a real job: rain, splashes and a wet counter are all fine. A submerged phone is not, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out.
If yours goes near water regularly, say so at the counter and we will tell you what the adhesive covers and what it does not.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

- Send it in yourselfPost it to the shop with a tracked, insured service and a note with your number. We cannot cover a parcel in transit, and that is the honest trade-off for the route existing.
