Is this the right repair?

Book this if you are seeing any of the following on your Nokia G20.

  • Dies long before the end of the day
  • Shuts down suddenly with charge remaining
  • Battery health warning, or degraded performance
  • Gets unusually hot while charging
  • Swelling, or the screen lifting at an edge

Not sure, or more than one fault? Our technicians confirm the cause with a free diagnostic before any work starts.

What the price includes

  • New battery fitted
  • Charge cycle and health check
  • 360-day warranty on parts and workmanship

No additional paid work is carried out without your approval. If we find something else, we explain it and confirm the cost first.

The order of things

Diagnose first, quote second.

Describe the symptom

You do not need to know what the part is called. What it does, when it started and whether it was dropped or got wet tells us most of it.

Plain terms are fine

The device gets tested

Every one is checked before a price is given, so nobody pays for a component that was working the whole time. Nothing is opened without your say-so.

Nothing to pay

Fixed, checked, handed back

Buttons, cameras, sensors, speakers and a real call, tested before it leaves. Then 360 days of cover on the part and the work.

Tested end to end
Asked all the time

€50 for the Nokia G20, confirmed before any work starts. No fix, no fee, so if we cannot repair it you pay nothing.

15 to 45 minutes for most phones. If a part needs ordering we tell you at the counter, before you commit.

The Nokia G20 came out in 2021, which puts it in the range where a single repair usually buys years rather than months. A screen or a battery costs a fraction of a replacement handset, and you keep everything already set up on it.

The usual signs are a charge that drops in steps, shutting down above 20 percent, only working while plugged in, or the back of the case lifting. If the device is also slow and hot, bring it in for a free diagnostic rather than guessing, because a failing charging port looks similar from the outside.

Treat it as urgent. Stop charging it, stop using it, and do not press on the back. A swollen cell can split. Bring it in and we will remove and dispose of it safely the same day.

A new cell should hold a normal day of use and stay above 80 percent of its rated capacity for several hundred charge cycles. The 360-day warranty covers a cell that fails early.

The usual signs are a phone that dies well before the end of the day, one that jumps from 30% to nothing, or one that shuts down in the cold. If it is instead getting hot and draining while idle, that can be software, and we check that first rather than selling you a battery.

With a genuine part, yes, exactly as before. With other tiers some iPhone models show a service message next to the battery figure. It does not affect how the phone works and we tell you which you are getting before we start.

It needs dealing with rather than panicking about. Stop charging it, do not press on it, and bring it in the same day if you can. A swollen cell pushes the screen up from behind and will crack it eventually, which turns one repair into two.

Two to three years of ordinary use before you would think about it again, which is what the original managed. Heat is what shortens that more than charge cycles, so a phone that lives on a car dashboard has a harder life than one that does not.

For common faults on common models, yes, and the price is on the page you are reading. For anything with no clear symptom, liquid damage especially, nobody can price it honestly without opening it, so we do that for free first.

No. The diagnostic is free whether you go ahead with the repair or not, and that is true for the quick check at the counter and the longer one on the bench.

Yes, and it is worth saying so at the counter, because a previous repair changes where we look first. Bring any screws or parts you were given back.

The difference

The bench is in the building.

Nothing here is posted to a depot in another country and nothing is done by somebody you cannot talk to. That is why we can look at a device again the next morning if it needs it.

Repairs others refuse

Board-level work, older models and devices written off elsewhere. Refused is not the same as unrepairable.

A tier you choose

Genuine, service or premium aftermarket, named and priced before you agree to anything.

Nothing read, nothing kept

A repair is a hardware job. There is deliberately no field in our system for a device passcode.

Told when to walk away

When a repair costs more than the device is worth, we say so. It loses us the job and keeps the customer.
