Often yes, and the sums are better than people expect. Parts for the Xbox Series S are widely supplied and cost less than they did when it was the current model, so the repair is cheaper now than it would have been then. We quote it against what the device is worth and say plainly if it does not add up.
Normally a day or two, because it is microsoldering rather than a parts swap. The old port is removed with hot air, the pads are cleaned and checked, and the new one is aligned and reflowed under a microscope.
Almost always. An HDMI port repair is a fraction of the price of a replacement console, and everything else about yours keeps working, including the drive and the games installed on it.
Very often, especially if the cable and the TV input are known good, or if the port feels loose. The port is soldered to the board, so replacing it is microsoldering work under a microscope rather than a parts swap.
Stop plugging cables in. Each attempt bends them further and can lift the pads off the board, which turns a routine port replacement into a much bigger repair. Bring it in as it is.
