What causes it
- A failed or interrupted software update
- Storage that is failing, which stops the system loading

- Stop power cycling it. Each loop is another chance to lose data
- Note whether it got wet, dropped or updated recently

No. These are hardware repairs and we do not open, copy or erase anything on the device. Back it up first anyway, because any device that already has a fault can fail further while it is being worked on.

On models where the reader is under the display it is part of the screen assembly, so it is replaced with it and calibrated afterwards. We test it before handing the phone back. On models with a side-mounted reader it is untouched.

Yes for ordinary screen, battery and port work. Knox is a security flag tied to the software, not to these parts, and normal hardware repairs do not trip it.
That depends on what the device is worth and what the repair costs, and we will tell you honestly when the sums do not work. Turning away a job we could have charged for is the reason people come back.
