The iPhone 13 Mini arrived in 2021, with a 5.4 inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and the A15 Bionic chip. It charges over Lightning and it unlocks with Face ID. - Cracked glass over the lensesSeparate from the rear panel on most models. Fragments sit directly in the light path, which is why photos go hazy or flared.
- Only one of the lenses is affectedUseful to know. The wide, ultra wide and telephoto are separate modules and the price is not the same.
- Spots or haze in every photoDust or moisture behind the lens. It shows worst against a bright sky.
- Photos are fine but video shakesThe stabiliser again, and it shows up in video long before it shows up in stills.

Cameras are the repair where software and hardware look most alike from the outside, so it is worth checking two things before booking.
IfThe camera app is black but the front camera works
That narrows it to the rear module or its connection. Force close the app and restart the phone once first, because occasionally that is all it is.
IfIt rattles constantly, not just in the camera app
Something else is loose in the phone. Worth a diagnostic rather than assuming the camera.
IfThe lens glass looks cracked in a raking light
That is the cover glass and not the camera. It is the cheaper of the two by a distance.
IfIt went soft after a screen repair elsewhere
The front camera sits near the display connectors and is easy to disturb. Worth checking before assuming a module failed.
IfIt is only bad in low light
Compare it against another phone of the same model first. Some of what people take for a fault is how the phone has always performed.

What parts do we fit?

Check whether it is the lens cover glass rather than the module first. That is a different and much cheaper part, and half the blurry cameras that come in here need it rather than a camera.

What happens to what is on it?
Nothing about this repair requires reading what is on the device, and nobody here does.
Testing is a different matter. To prove a repair works we have to turn the device on and use it, which sometimes means asking for your passcode. Say no if you prefer and we will show you exactly which checks we cannot complete without it. Where you do give it, it is written on the paper docket and the docket is shredded. There is deliberately no field for a passcode in our system.
Take a backup before you come in. It is free, it takes two minutes on a device that still works, and it is the one thing nobody regrets having done.
Will it still survive a splash?
Treat the phone as no longer water resistant after any repair, including ours.
Apple's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed phone under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.
If your phone lives near water, say so when you book and we will talk you through what the adhesive does and does not cover.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

Look at the glass over the lens in bright light at an angle. Cracks and deep scratches show clearly, and where they are there that is almost always the cause. The two are different parts at different prices and we confirm which before ordering.
No. Polishing removes material and leaves the glass optically worse than the scratch did. Replacing the cover glass is the proper fix and it is not expensive.
