MacBook Pro 14-inch (M4), from 2024, with a 14.2 inch Liquid Retina XDR, mini-LED, nano-texture option display and the M4, M4 Pro or M4 Max chip. The ports are MagSafe 3, three Thunderbolt ports, HDMI, SD card and headphone and it unlocks with Touch ID in the power button. There is an aluminium frame. The first 14-inch Pro with the Center Stage camera, and on the Pro and Max chips the ports are Thunderbolt 5. Space Black is only on the M4 Pro and Max.

What parts do we fit?
Where Apple supplies a service part for this component, that is what goes in. Where it does not, we fit premium aftermarket and say so. Which of the two you are getting is settled before you agree to anything, and the 360-day warranty does not change between them.
Nobody here will call a part original when it is not. If what fits your laptop is premium aftermarket, you hear that word at the counter rather than reading it on a docket afterwards.

Before a part is ordered we establish what has really gone wrong. It is free, and it is the reason people do not leave here having paid for the wrong thing.
You approve the price
You hear the number first. If it is not worth it to you, that is a perfectly good answer and it costs you nothing.

Done at our Drumcondra bench by the technicians who do this every day.
Bench testing
We test what we replaced and everything that sits beside it, because that is where a rushed repair shows up.
Back in your hands
Pick it up from Richmond Road or have it couriered back across Dublin. Either way it carries the 360-day warranty.
Is anything on the device at risk?
This is hardware work. We do not need to go into your photos, messages or accounts to do it, and we do not.
We do need to switch the device on and use it to test the repair, so we may ask for your passcode. If you would rather not hand it over, tell us and we will show you what we cannot verify without it. Any passcode you give us goes on the paper docket and the docket gets shredded. It is never stored in our system.
Back the device up before any repair. Not because we expect to lose anything, but because a device that has already been dropped is one whose storage has already been shaken, and a backup costs nothing.
Is it still water resistant afterwards?
Treat the phone as no longer water resistant after any repair, including ours.
Apple's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed phone under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.
If your phone lives near water, say so when you book and we will talk you through what the adhesive does and does not cover.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is from €25, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

- We collect and returnDoor to door across Dublin, Monday to Friday, usually 2 to 4 working days. The repair takes the same time; the courier is the difference.
- Send it in yourselfPost it to the shop with a tracked, insured service and a note with your number. We cannot cover a parcel in transit, and that is the honest trade-off for the route existing.
Same repair price and the same 360-day warranty on all three. The only thing that changes is how the device travels.

On a laptop or console that is almost always dust packed into the heatsink, plus thermal paste that has dried out after a few years. Both are serviceable. Left alone the heat shortens the life of everything around it.

No. These are hardware repairs and we do not open, copy or erase anything on the device. Back it up first anyway, because any device that already has a fault can fail further while it is being worked on.
Usually. A phone that shows nothing is often a phone whose screen is dead rather than a phone that is dead, and the two look identical from the outside. Finding out which is free.
That depends on what the device is worth and what the repair costs, and we will tell you honestly when the sums do not work. Turning away a job we could have charged for is the reason people come back.
Yes. It makes no difference where a device came from, whether it was bought here, abroad or second hand. Bring it in.
On older models, yes. On Apple silicon and most recent Intel MacBooks, memory and storage are soldered to the board and cannot be changed. Tell us the model and we will say straight away.
For common faults on common models, yes, and the price is on the page you are reading. For anything with no clear symptom, liquid damage especially, nobody can price it honestly without opening it, so we do that for free first.
Yes, anywhere in Dublin, Monday to Friday. Tell us where you are and we arrange a time. Outside Dublin we are not set up for collection, so the device would need to come to the shop.
Bring it in and we do it again at no cost, for 360 days from the repair, on the part and the workmanship both. That does not cover new accidental damage, which we will always be straight with you about.
