The back is the one repair where doing nothing is a reasonable choice for a while, so it is worth being straight about when it is not.
IfThe camera glass is broken rather than the panel
That is usually a separate and cheaper part, so ask us before booking a full rear glass replacement.
IfThe glass is cracked and flat and nothing else has changed
No urgency. It does not spread the way a front screen does, and it can wait until it suits you.
IfGlass is lifting or coming away in pieces
Do it now. Loose glass cuts, and a back that has started shedding is a longer job than one that has not.
IfWireless charging stopped at the same time
Say so when you book, because the coil may need replacing along with the glass and that changes the price.
IfThe frame is bent as well as the back cracked
Bring it in before anything is ordered. A new back does not sit right on a bent frame and we would rather tell you that first.

What parts do we fit?

What happens to what is on it?
We are replacing a part, not reading a phone. Your photos, messages and accounts are not something this job touches.
The one place it comes up is testing. A repair is not finished until it has been used, and using a locked device means a passcode. You are welcome to withhold it, and we will tell you which checks that leaves undone rather than quietly skipping them. A passcode you do give us lives on a paper docket that gets shredded, never in a database.
Back it up first if you can. A device that has taken a knock has had its storage shaken whether or not anything looks wrong, and a backup is free insurance against the day that matters.
Is it still water resistant afterwards?
After any repair, ours included, work on the assumption that the device is no longer water resistant.
The rating on the box was measured once, on a sealed unit, in controlled conditions. It was never a promise about the device three years later. Adhesive hardens, seals compress and a single drop can break the seal without leaving a mark you would notice.
We reseal with fresh adhesive and it does a real job: rain, splashes and a wet counter are all fine. A submerged phone is not, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out.
If yours goes near water regularly, say so at the counter and we will tell you what the adhesive covers and what it does not.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.
