The Pixel 8 Pro came out in 2023, with a 6.7 inch Super Actua LTPO OLED display and the Google Tensor G3 chip. It charges over USB-C and it unlocks with a fingerprint reader under the display. There is a polished aluminium frame, and it is rated IP68. Three cameras and a small temperature sensor beside the flash, which no other Pixel has. Flat screen, matt back.

Recovery and repair are not the same job, and doing them in the wrong order can cost you both.
IfThe phone is repairable
Repair it first. A working phone gives up its data far more easily and cheaply than a dead one.

Bring it in now and do not charge it. Every day of corrosion reduces what can be recovered.
IfYou have a cloud backup
Check what is already backed up before paying for anything. Sometimes the answer is that it is all there already, and we would rather tell you that.
IfThe storage chip itself is damaged
Be prepared for the answer to be no. We will say so plainly rather than charging you to find out slowly.
IfIt still powers on at all
Start there. A device that boots, even badly, is far more likely to give its data up than one that does not.
If you are not sure which of these you have, that is what the free diagnostic is for. It costs nothing and it is the step that stops people paying for the wrong repair.
What parts do we fit?
Genuine Google service parts where they exist for the component, and premium aftermarket where they do not. You are told which one your repair uses before you agree to it, and the 360-day warranty is the same either way.
The words genuine and Google certified mean something specific and we only use them when they are true of the part in front of us. Anything else is described as premium aftermarket, plainly.

It stays in the shop. The work is done on our own bench by the technicians who do it every day of the week.

Nothing is handed back untested. The repaired part and its neighbours are all checked first.

Pick it up from Richmond Road or have it couriered back across Dublin. Either way it carries the 360-day warranty.
Is anything on the device at risk?
We are replacing a part, not reading a phone. Your photos, messages and accounts are not something this job touches.
The one place it comes up is testing. A repair is not finished until it has been used, and using a locked device means a passcode. You are welcome to withhold it, and we will tell you which checks that leaves undone rather than quietly skipping them. A passcode you do give us lives on a paper docket that gets shredded, never in a database.
Back it up first if you can. A device that has taken a knock has had its storage shaken whether or not anything looks wrong, and a backup is free insurance against the day that matters.
What about the water resistance?
Treat the phone as no longer water resistant after any repair, including ours.
Apple's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed phone under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.
If your phone lives near water, say so when you book and we will talk you through what the adhesive does and does not cover.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

- Send it in yourselfPost it to the shop with a tracked, insured service and a note with your number. We cannot cover a parcel in transit, and that is the honest trade-off for the route existing.
