The iPad Air (5th gen) arrived in 2022, with a 10.9 inch Liquid Retina LCD display and the M1 chip. It charges over USB-C and it unlocks with Touch ID in the top button. There is an aluminium frame. Flat sides, a Touch ID top button and the front camera on the short edge. It is externally very close to the 10th generation iPad, which is why the model number matters here. A manufacturer's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed device under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.

Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
