The iPad Pro 13-inch (M4) came out in 2024, with a 13 inch Ultra Retina XDR tandem OLED with ProMotion display and the M4 chip. Charging is over USB-C with Thunderbolt and it unlocks with Face ID. We do need to switch the phone on and use it to test the repair, so we may ask for your passcode. If you would rather not hand it over, tell us and we will show you what we cannot verify without it. Any passcode you give us goes on the paper docket and the docket gets shredded. It is never stored in our system.
Back the phone up before any repair. Not because we expect to lose anything, but because a phone that has already been dropped is a phone whose storage has already been shaken, and a backup costs nothing.
Treat the phone as no longer water resistant after any repair, including ours.
A manufacturer's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed device under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.
If your phone lives near water, say so when you book and we will talk you through what the adhesive does and does not cover.
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.

There is nothing to gain by waiting. The glass and the display are bonded together on an OLED panel, so a crack sitting on the surface today is sitting on the display layer as it spreads. The repair does not get cheaper and the phone gets less usable.
Usually, yes. Ghost touch is normally a failing digitiser, which is part of the display assembly, so a replacement resolves it. Tell us if it only happens while charging, because that points at the charger rather than the phone and would save you the repair.
Bring it in for the free diagnostic rather than booking a screen. A black display on a phone that still rings is usually the screen or its connector. A black display on a phone that is completely dead is a different problem, and we would rather find that out before you pay for a panel.
On a handful of older models, yes, where the glass and the display are separate layers. On everything current they are bonded, and splitting them is a gamble with your display that we are not willing to take with somebody else's phone.
Sometimes it is not, and we will say so. If the phone is out of software support or the battery is finished as well, we tell you what the two repairs come to together so you can decide properly.
It is a bigger part and a slower job. The glass is bonded to the frame all the way round and has to be heated and cut out rather than unclipped, which is most of the time on the bench.
