MacBook Air 11-inch, from 2015, with a 11.6 inch LCD, not Retina display and the Intel Core i5 or i7 chip. It carries MagSafe 2, two USB 3, Thunderbolt 2 and headphone. There is an aluminium frame. The smallest Air Apple made, and the only one at 11 inches. MagSafe 2 and full-size USB ports, no Touch ID. Ireland gets the A1465.

What parts do we fit?
Genuine Apple service parts where they exist for the component, and premium aftermarket where they do not. You are told which one your repair uses before you agree to it, and the 360-day warranty is the same either way.
We will not describe a part as genuine, original or Apple certified unless that is what is going into your laptop. If the honest answer is premium aftermarket, that is what we say at the counter.

Before a part is ordered we establish what has really gone wrong. It is free, and it is the reason people do not leave here having paid for the wrong thing.
You approve the price
The price is confirmed to you before anything begins, and it does not move afterwards unless you agree to something else.

Bench testing
Nothing is handed back untested. The repaired part and its neighbours are all checked first.
Back in your hands
Pick it up from Richmond Road or have it couriered back across Dublin. Either way it carries the 360-day warranty.
Is anything on the device at risk?
This is hardware work. We do not need to go into your photos, messages or accounts to do it, and we do not.
We do need to switch the device on and use it to test the repair, so we may ask for your passcode. If you would rather not hand it over, tell us and we will show you what we cannot verify without it. Any passcode you give us goes on the paper docket and the docket gets shredded. It is never stored in our system.
Back the device up before any repair. Not because we expect to lose anything, but because a device that has already been dropped is one whose storage has already been shaken, and a backup costs nothing.
Is it still water resistant afterwards?
Treat the device as no longer water resistant after any repair, including this one.
An IP rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed device in a laboratory. It is a description of how that device left the factory, not a property it keeps. Heat, age and everyday knocks degrade the seal long before anybody opens it, which is why phones that have never been repaired still let water in.
Opening a device means cutting through adhesive. We refit with fresh adhesive, which gives you back a physical seal that keeps rain and splashes out. What we will not do is claim the original rating is restored, because there is no way for us or for any independent shop in Ireland to test that.
If the device lives near water, tell us when you book. It changes what we recommend and it is a two minute conversation rather than a surprise afterwards.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is from €25, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

- Send it in yourselfPost it to the shop with a tracked, insured service and a note with your number. We cannot cover a parcel in transit, and that is the honest trade-off for the route existing.
