Often yes, and the sums are better than people expect. Parts for the PlayStation 4 are widely supplied and cost less than they did when it was the current model, so the repair is cheaper now than it would have been then. We quote it against what the device is worth and say plainly if it does not add up.
Dust in the heatsink and dried thermal paste, in almost every case. We strip it, clean the cooling path, repaste and reassemble. It is a same-day job and the drop in fan noise is immediate.
That points at the battery or something drawing current it should not. Worth a free diagnostic rather than waiting, particularly if it is also losing charge quickly.
360 days on parts and workmanship. If the same fault comes back and it was not caused by new damage, we repair it again at no cost. Accidental damage, liquid damage after the repair and cracked glass are not covered.
