The Galaxy S21 FE arrived in 2022, with a 6.4 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and the Exynos 2100 chip. Charging is over USB-C and it unlocks with an optical fingerprint reader under the display. There is an aluminium frame, and it is rated IP68. A plastic back with a camera housing moulded into it in the same colour. It shares no screen or battery with the S21 despite the name. The one sold in Ireland is SM-G990B.

Start there. A device that boots, even badly, is far more likely to give its data up than one that does not.

Often the simplest case of all. A working device with a dead display can usually be read once it can be seen.

What parts do we fit?
Two tiers, and you choose knowing which is which: a genuine Samsung service part where one is made for this component, or premium aftermarket where none is. The warranty is 360 days on either.
We will not describe a part as genuine, original or Samsung certified unless that is what is going into your phone. If the honest answer is premium aftermarket, that is what we say at the counter.

Is anything on the device at risk?
We are replacing a part, not reading a phone. Your photos, messages and accounts are not something this job touches.
The one place it comes up is testing. A repair is not finished until it has been used, and using a locked device means a passcode. You are welcome to withhold it, and we will tell you which checks that leaves undone rather than quietly skipping them. A passcode you do give us lives on a paper docket that gets shredded, never in a database.
Back it up first if you can. A device that has taken a knock has had its storage shaken whether or not anything looks wrong, and a backup is free insurance against the day that matters.
Is it still water resistant afterwards?
After any repair, ours included, work on the assumption that the device is no longer water resistant.
The rating on the box was measured once, on a sealed unit, in controlled conditions. It was never a promise about the device three years later. Adhesive hardens, seals compress and a single drop can break the seal without leaving a mark you would notice.
We reseal with fresh adhesive and it does a real job: rain, splashes and a wet counter are all fine. A submerged phone is not, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out.
If yours goes near water regularly, say so at the counter and we will tell you what the adhesive covers and what it does not.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

- Send it in yourselfPost it to the shop with a tracked, insured service and a note with your number. We cannot cover a parcel in transit, and that is the honest trade-off for the route existing.
