The iPad Air 11-inch arrived in 2024, with a 11 inch Liquid Retina LCD display and the M2 chip. It charges over USB-C and it unlocks with Touch ID in the top button. There is an aluminium frame. Touch ID in the top button, one rear camera and the front camera on the long edge. That last detail separates it from the 5th generation Air. A2902 is the model sold here.

Liquid damage is the one repair where what you do in the first hour matters more than what we do afterwards.
IfIt is wet right now
Turn it off and leave it off. Do not charge it, do not press the buttons, and do not put it in rice. Rice does nothing but hold moisture against the phone. Bring it in as soon as you can.
IfOnly one thing is wrong, like the speaker
Still assess the whole phone. One symptom after a soaking rarely means only one thing is affected.

Say so first. If data matters more than the handset we work in a different order, and starting the wrong way round can cost you both.

Turn it off and leave it off. No charging, no button pressing, and no rice. Rice does not draw moisture out of a sealed device, it just holds the phone somewhere humid while corrosion carries on.
IfIt went in salt water or anything sugary
Treat it as urgent. Both are far more aggressive than clean water and the window before permanent damage is much shorter.

What parts do we fit?
Genuine Apple service parts where they exist for the component, and premium aftermarket where they do not. You are told which one your repair uses before you agree to it, and the 360-day warranty is the same either way.

Is anything on the device at risk?
This is hardware work. We do not need to go into your photos, messages or accounts to do it, and we do not.
We do need to switch the device on and use it to test the repair, so we may ask for your passcode. If you would rather not hand it over, tell us and we will show you what we cannot verify without it. Any passcode you give us goes on the paper docket and the docket gets shredded. It is never stored in our system.
Back the device up before any repair. Not because we expect to lose anything, but because a device that has already been dropped is one whose storage has already been shaken, and a backup costs nothing.
Is it still water resistant afterwards?
Treat the phone as no longer water resistant after any repair, including ours.
Apple's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed phone under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.
If your phone lives near water, say so when you book and we will talk you through what the adhesive does and does not cover.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.
