The faults a rear camera repair puts right.
- The app opens to a black screenThe module is not being seen at all. Sometimes the camera, sometimes the connection to the board.
- Cracked glass over the lensesSeparate from the rear panel on most models. Fragments sit directly in the light path, which is why photos go hazy or flared.
- Spots or haze in every photoDust or moisture behind the lens. It shows worst against a bright sky.

Cameras are the repair where software and hardware look most alike from the outside, so it is worth checking two things before booking.
IfThe camera app is black but the front camera works
That narrows it to the rear module or its connection. Force close the app and restart the phone once first, because occasionally that is all it is.
IfIt rattles constantly, not just in the camera app
Something else is loose in the phone. Worth a diagnostic rather than assuming the camera.
IfIt started after a drop that also cracked the back
The camera glass and the rear panel may come as one part on your model. Ask us, because doing both together is often cheaper than doing them separately.
IfThe lens glass looks cracked in a raking light
That is the cover glass and not the camera. It is the cheaper of the two by a distance.

What parts do we fit?
Two tiers, and you choose knowing which is which: a genuine Apple service part where one is made for this component, or premium aftermarket where none is. The warranty is 360 days on either.
The words genuine and Apple certified mean something specific and we only use them when they are true of the part in front of us. Anything else is described as premium aftermarket, plainly.

€90The €90 on this page is our standard quote for this repair. Which tier suits your device is a conversation at the counter, and the price for each is on the table before you decide. The 360-day warranty is the same on both, because we would not offer a tier we did not think would last.
Check whether it is the lens cover glass rather than the module first. That is a different and much cheaper part, and half the blurry cameras that come in here need it rather than a camera.

What happens to what is on it?
We are replacing a part, not reading a phone. Your photos, messages and accounts are not something this job touches.
The one place it comes up is testing. A repair is not finished until it has been used, and using a locked device means a passcode. You are welcome to withhold it, and we will tell you which checks that leaves undone rather than quietly skipping them. A passcode you do give us lives on a paper docket that gets shredded, never in a database.
Back it up first if you can. A device that has taken a knock has had its storage shaken whether or not anything looks wrong, and a backup is free insurance against the day that matters.
What about the water resistance?
Treat the device as no longer water resistant after any repair, including this one.
An IP rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed device in a laboratory. It is a description of how that device left the factory, not a property it keeps. Heat, age and everyday knocks degrade the seal long before anybody opens it, which is why phones that have never been repaired still let water in.
Opening a device means cutting through adhesive. We refit with fresh adhesive, which gives you back a physical seal that keeps rain and splashes out. What we will not do is claim the original rating is restored, because there is no way for us or for any independent shop in Ireland to test that.
If the device lives near water, tell us when you book. It changes what we recommend and it is a two minute conversation rather than a surprise afterwards.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is free, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.
