MacBook Pro 14-inch (M2 Pro/Max), from 2023, with a 14.2 inch Liquid Retina XDR, mini-LED display and the M2 Pro or M2 Max chip. It carries MagSafe 3, three Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, SD card and headphone and it unlocks with Touch ID in the power button. There is an aluminium frame. Nothing on the outside tells it from the M1 Pro 14-inch. About This Mac, or the number under the case, is the only way. Ireland gets the A2779.

What parts do we fit?
Two tiers, and you choose knowing which is which: a genuine Apple service part where one is made for this component, or premium aftermarket where none is. The warranty is 360 days on either.
We will not describe a part as genuine, original or Apple certified unless that is what is going into your laptop. If the honest answer is premium aftermarket, that is what we say at the counter.

Diagnostic
Nothing is opened or ordered until we know what failed. There is no charge for this and no obligation to go ahead afterwards.
You approve the price
The price is confirmed to you before anything begins, and it does not move afterwards unless you agree to something else.

Bench testing
Nothing is handed back untested. The repaired part and its neighbours are all checked first.

Yours again, from the counter or by courier, with 360 days of cover on the part and the work.
Is anything on the device at risk?
Nothing about this repair requires reading what is on the device, and nobody here does.
Testing is a different matter. To prove a repair works we have to turn the device on and use it, which sometimes means asking for your passcode. Say no if you prefer and we will show you exactly which checks we cannot complete without it. Where you do give it, it is written on the paper docket and the docket is shredded. There is deliberately no field for a passcode in our system.
Take a backup before you come in. It is free, it takes two minutes on a device that still works, and it is the one thing nobody regrets having done.
What about the water resistance?
After any repair, ours included, work on the assumption that the device is no longer water resistant.
The rating on the box was measured once, on a sealed unit, in controlled conditions. It was never a promise about the device three years later. Adhesive hardens, seals compress and a single drop can break the seal without leaving a mark you would notice.
We reseal with fresh adhesive and it does a real job: rain, splashes and a wet counter are all fine. A submerged phone is not, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out.
If yours goes near water regularly, say so at the counter and we will tell you what the adhesive covers and what it does not.
The 360-day warranty
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.
No fix, no fee. The diagnostic is from €25, and if the repair does not happen you pay nothing.

- We collect and returnDoor to door across Dublin, Monday to Friday, usually 2 to 4 working days. The repair takes the same time; the courier is the difference.
- Send it in yourselfPost it to the shop with a tracked, insured service and a note with your number. We cannot cover a parcel in transit, and that is the honest trade-off for the route existing.
Same repair price and the same 360-day warranty on all three. The only thing that changes is how the device travels.

On a laptop or console that is almost always dust packed into the heatsink, plus thermal paste that has dried out after a few years. Both are serviceable. Left alone the heat shortens the life of everything around it.

Both. A lot of MacBook faults that are quoted as a full logic board elsewhere are a single component, and we repair at that level under a microscope. It is usually a fraction of the cost of a board swap.

On older models, yes. On Apple silicon and most recent Intel MacBooks, memory and storage are soldered to the board and cannot be changed. Tell us the model and we will say straight away.
Yes. It makes no difference where a device came from, whether it was bought here, abroad or second hand. Bring it in.
Most of the time, yes, if we have the part on the shelf. That covers common iPhone and Galaxy screens and batteries. Ring ahead on 085 200 1155 with your model if you are coming across the city and want to be sure.

Bring it in and we do it again at no cost, for 360 days from the repair, on the part and the workmanship both. That does not cover new accidental damage, which we will always be straight with you about.
For common faults on common models, yes, and the price is on the page you are reading. For anything with no clear symptom, liquid damage especially, nobody can price it honestly without opening it, so we do that for free first.
