A screen replacement is hardware work. We do not need to go into your photos, messages or accounts to do it, and we do not.
We do need to switch the phone on and use it to test the repair, so we may ask for your passcode. If you would rather not hand it over, tell us and we will show you what we cannot verify without it. Any passcode you give us goes on the paper docket and the docket gets shredded. It is never stored in our system.
Back the phone up before any repair. Not because we expect to lose anything, but because a phone that has already been dropped is a phone whose storage has already been shaken, and a backup costs nothing.

A manufacturer's IP68 rating is measured on a brand new, factory sealed device under controlled laboratory conditions. It is not a permanent property of the device. The seal degrades with age, heat and everyday knocks long before anybody opens it.
Opening a phone means cutting through that seal. We refit the display with fresh adhesive, which restores a physical seal and keeps ordinary splashes and rain out. What we will not do is tell you it is back to IP68, because we have no way to test that and neither does any independent shop in Ireland.
If your phone lives near water, say so when you book and we will talk you through what the adhesive does and does not cover.
Every completed repair is covered for 360 days on the part and the workmanship. If the display we fitted fails, or the fitting was at fault, we put it right at no charge.
What it does not cover is a new accident. A phone dropped again after the repair, fresh physical damage, liquid damage, or a fault in a part we did not touch, all sit outside it. That is the same limit any honest repair warranty has.

Usually, yes. Ghost touch is normally a failing digitiser, which is part of the display assembly, so a replacement resolves it. Tell us if it only happens while charging, because that points at the charger rather than the phone and would save you the repair.
Bring it in for the diagnostic rather than booking a screen. A black display on a phone that still rings is usually the screen or its connector. A black display on a phone that is completely dead is a different problem, and we would rather find that out before you pay for a panel.

Several manufacturers pair the panel to the board, so a replacement can show a notice in settings even when the repair is sound and everything works. It is a parts message, not a fault, and we tell you if your model does it before we start.
On a handful of older models, yes, where the glass and the display are separate layers. On everything current they are bonded, and splitting them is a gamble with your display that we are not willing to take with somebody else's phone.
Sometimes it is not, and we will say so. If the phone is out of software support or the battery is finished as well, we tell you what the two repairs come to together so you can decide properly.
No, and that is the reason we ask which model you have before quoting. Panels differ by size, by technology and by how the biometric sensor is mounted, and a screen from the closest-looking sibling will not fit.

Usually not. On almost every modern phone the glass, the touch layer and the display are bonded into one assembly, so the whole part is replaced even when only the glass is broken. Separating them is possible on some models but costs more in labour than the assembly saves.
